The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals in a variety of settings, including residential, vocational, and recreational.
This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to provide emotional support.
The Direct Support Professional must also be able to follow directions and adhere to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities.
Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
Monitor and document progress of individuals in their care.
Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals.
Ensure the safety of individuals in their care.
Implement behavior management plans and strategies.
Assist with recreational activities.
